After exploring the coastline by boat, we’ll walk down to Itzurun Beach, where you can stand on one of Europe’s most remarkable geological formations. These rock layers preserve more than 60 million years of Earth’s history and have made Zumaia famous among geologists and nature lovers from around the world.
🍷 Txakoli Tasting with a View
One of the highlights of the day is relaxing on the panoramic terrace of a local premium txakoli winery, overlooking the vineyards and the Cantabrian Sea. Guests are free to enjoy Txakoli wines and local specialties at their own pace while taking in one of the most beautiful vineyard settings in the Basque Country.

Getaria is one of the finest places in the Basque Country to enjoy fresh seafood. Its restaurants line the fishing harbor, where locally caught fish is traditionally grilled over open charcoal fires. Whether you choose turbot, monkfish, or another seasonal specialty, lunch here is often one of the most memorable moments of the day.

Before returning, enjoy time to stroll through the medieval streets of this charming fishing village. Getaria is the birthplace of both the explorer Juan Sebastián Elcano, who completed the first circumnavigation of the world, and the legendary fashion designer Cristóbal Balenciaga, making it a fascinating blend of maritime history and culture.
